From Pure Natural Honey to a variety of delicious honey spreads, Fain's uses only the best honey to make our products. In order to maintain the nutritional integrity of our natural honey, we simply strain it instead of filtering. Our honey is never filtered and never pasteurized. Our flavored honey spreads are made with our natural honey and all natural ingredients.
Fain's strives to provide the Hill Country and beyond with quality honey and honey products. Built on family and tradition our products offer something for everyone, whether you are a honey fanatic or just looking for something unique with a natural grown taste.
Since our beginnings in 1926 by founder H.E. Fain, Fain's Honey has been a family business that strives to deliver great honey to our customers. A proud family heritage of beekeeping is only a part of the great history of our company alongside a loving family that works hard to ensure the best is put forth to our customers!

Absolutely! We are open for business Monday-Friday from 9am- 5pm and Saturday from 9am- 4pm. We are located right off HWY 29 in Buchanan Dam, Texas.
We have a new, second location in downtown Marble Falls at 207 Main Street. Our temporary hours are Thursday- Saturday 10am- 5pm.
Fain's Honey is never pasteurized and never filtered. Here at Fain's Honey all we do is strain any bees wings, wax, and other unwanted solids to ensure you are getting honey that is ready to be consumed. All of the pollen and phytonutrients remain in the honey for maximum nutritional benefit. The FDA's definition of "raw" is poorly defined and too broad. Many companies use the term and shouldn't. We want to set ourselves apart and be more specific about the quality and content of our honey.
Sure do, check out our 'Online Shop' tab at the top of this page!
Nope! Honey is the only natural food that doesn't spoil. 3000 year old honey retrieved from Egyptian tombs is still unspoiled and ready for human consumption! However, if exposed to air and moisture honey may collect yeast and begin to ferment. If your honey is crystallized, heat it back up and it's good to go! Honey naturally wants to crystallize, but does not mean it has gone bad- it just needs a little heat!
While the medical world is slow to follow up on this claim with significant studies, the common wisdom surrounding this claim is that there are benefits. The proposed benefit of honey is that you are eating some pollen each day and your body grows accustomed to the presence of pollen, minimizing a reaction. 99% of the time the bees are not gathering pollen from the plants that are the actual culprits for allergies anyway, so the honey doesn't actually have to be local. While the allergy suppressing benefits are still up for debate in the scientific community, the fact that honey is an excellent cough suppressant and can help with a sore throat is pretty well established. Just make sure you're eating unfiltered honey for the pollen and unpasteurized honey for the antibacterial/ antimicrobial properties.
We appreciate the care and concern for our bees! We do not vaccinate our bees. The vaccine was developed to combat a very serious bacterial infection called American Foul Brood that can lead to hives and equipment having to be burned to stem the spread. It can be pretty devastating. Luckily this is a very rare occurrence in our apiary and as a result we do not need to implement any vaccination measures.
